If Elvis was alive today and returned to the Birthplace to experience the venues, as his widow Priscilla has said, he would have been overwhelmed with appreciation. He would see that the Purpose of the Elvis Presley Memorial Foundation was to create Hope for others – for Others to “Dream their Dream” as told through the life of Elvis. The power for us – as Tupeloans – is it happened here! It is our reality! Hopes and Dreams are available to all of us. It is a totally inclusive concept. No trip is complete without a visit to the beautiful, serene, natural setting for your meditation and metaphysical thinking.

After experiencing the Venues, perhaps Elvis would have wandered down to Reflections. Then, sitting by the waterfall with the opening of the lake in view, Elvis would reflect upon those people and blessings that helped him become extraordinarily successful. To each, he would give thanks in his own spiritual way.

This story serves as an idea of Reflections’ Purpose. Within the surroundings of a serene setting of nature there is a guitar-shaped pond with two water features creating ripples symbolizing life’s challenges and troubles. Falling waters flowing over a rock-filled dam add to the natural surroundings.

Reflections was created for anyone and everyone to sit quietly on a bench to reflect on their life. From that restful pause, each should think about those who served as one’s mentors for their success and give “thanks” in each’s spiritual way. The same “thanks” for one’s Blessings received. But before you get up from your bench to cross the Bridge Over Troubled Waters, release whatever bondage that prevents you from pursuing your dream. You never leave without a dream! What will your Dream be.
