The weather is having a hard time making up its mind. There was an old saying that “March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb,” but we haven’t seen the “lamb” arrive yet. One day it can be nice and sunny, the next day it will be cold and rainy.
Our azaleas have started to bloom, and they are gorgeous. We’re anxiously awaiting the additional kaleidoscope of colors from our flora. The Birthplace property is beautiful in the spring.
The Birthplace is a great place to walk. Our paved trails take you through most of our property. We have a lake, a koi pond, and an overlook. It’s mostly quiet – though we do have a fountain and a waterfall to aid in the ambiance.
March 2025
We’re ready for springtime to spring at the Birthplace and are eagerly anticipating the springtime show our plantings will produce. It is an explosion to the senses, making the grounds into a kaleidoscope of color. We have been teased with warmer weather, so it should be here soon.
Our theater has been undergoing an equipment upgrade and is now up and running once again. Thank you for your patience as we make these changes to enhance your experience at the Birthplace.
We hope as you make your travel plans, you consider stopping by. We always love to see Elvis’ fans.

Wow! What a January!
Elvis’ 90th birthday.
It’s hard to believe that February is here!
We have started a video blog series: “Tales from the Birthplace of the King.” We’ve also created a YouTube page – youtube.com/@ElvisPresleyBirthplace – where you can find the videos. They’ll also be posted to our Facebook page, but we realize that not all of the fans have a Facebook page.

Happy New Year!
This year marks Elvis’ 90th birthday. 90 years ago he was born in a two-room house in Tupelo, Mississippi. He has left an incredible legacy from such humble beginnings.
We were pleased to see so many fans visit the Birthplace on Elvis’ birthday. Every seat in our event center was filled, and guests were lining the walls.
Many thanks go to Betty Harper, whose design was on a special T-shirt for the Birthplace, but more importantly, her artwork on the mural that will be installed at the Birthplace in the spring.
The celebration wouldn’t have been possible without a dedicated staff and our board of directors. I am fortunate to work with wonderful people as well as meet so many wonderful people.
We look forward to seeing you in 2025.
