The ELVIS PRESLEY MEMORIAL FOUNDATION is excited to announce the opening of the newly restored ASSEMBLY OF GOD church tha Elvis attended as a child. Saturday, August 9 2oo8, this church will be dedicated to the fans around the world.

This is the annual FAN APPRECIATION DAY and this dedication will be the highlight of the day.

The ceremony will begin at 10:45 AM with remarks from Henry Dodge, Chairman of the Foundation.

Following the ceremony, the Church will be opened for visitors to enter and experience a video presentation about the history of the church.

Storytellers will be in the Chapel visiting with fans from noon until 3:00PM.

The LANDMARKS quartet will be singing in the Sanctuary of St Marks United Methodist Church across the street from the Birthplace.

All of the attractions at the Birthplace will be open  as will.

 

We invite all of you to come and be a part of this historic event at THE BIRTHPLACE.
